The Role
It is definitely a good career experience and opportunity as there are so many different manufacture/ assembly processes here. It expands your knowledge of industry and large companies.
The guys in the office are good. Lots of banter and laughs. Also a good help toward mentoring me/ helping me out.
The support I do get is very good but there is not always a lot of support. A lot of the work is up to me and my decisions or for me to push and ask around for the answers.
It varies quite a lot. At the beginning I did not have much on but as I have settled I have also settled into a couple of projects here and there.
Surprisingly quite a lot.
There are definitely some good life and career skills obtained but the industry I want to be in is the Mountain bike industry rather than Aerospace.
The Company
Lots of banter
Pretty well organised. Good inductions and check ups.
A good amount, hopefully the green belt/ six sigma training soon.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
Subsidised/Company Gym
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
It would be a good place to work, but I am aiming for the bike industry after University.
The Culture
I live with 4 outhers from work and lots of the iterns regularly go out / do activities.
It can be quite expensive but its not too bad really.
In southampton its good.
There are lots of health related sport things like running, cycling and triathalons.
