The Role
Lots of various jobs to take on all the time, If I come to a pause in one there's other projects to work on
Great atmosphere in the office, people work hard but there's a good mix of banter
Very good support, able to ask anyone in the office if I get stuck
Very mixed, start of the placement had not a lot to do but really piling on now, got multiple projects to keep track of
Started off on projects that didn't really affect the business however as placement progresses I'm taking on both company-wide processes and local IT jobs
Haven't returned to University yet but feel I'll have a lot more focus and work ethic
The Company
Great atmosphere, very helpful and fun to work in
On-boarding process extensive and detailed, also particular effort put into giving me a taste of the graduate scheme
Lots of investment, ability to take courses and professional qualification training
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
Definitely going to apply for the graduate scheme, looks really interesting and the staff retention reflects this (a lot of managers started off on the scheme or as an intern)
The Culture
Could've been better, lots of interns travelled home on the weekends - not a fault of the business, very good relations while at work however
Stayed in Student housing so just as cheap as uni with £20 a week on travel
Lots of pubs/clubs to try and events regularly taking place
If you're willing to look around there are lots of options
