The Role
The office atmosphere was friendly and very helpful
You earn their respect during the internship as you show off your skills and what you can bring to the table
We had a buddy who was a graduate so they were a sounding board for many questions and helped out with any issues we faced.
I usually finished between 5 and 6 each evening.
The level of responsibility stepped up as time went on, but this was a good thing and gave me more insight into the job.
The skills i learnt now transfer really well into some of my thrid year financial modules within my degree.
The Company
the open pln office meant communication was easy and their was a light fun atmosphere
there was always work for me to do and my buddy had organised who i was to work for during the six weeks.
you complete training for many key skills during the first week and then it is on the job learning for your more technical skills
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
after a final partner interview i was offered a graduate position
The Culture
you become good friends with the other interns and went on a few events in the evening with them
in manchester the social events in the evening are all fairly cheap
manchester city centre has a great nightlife scene
there was a company quiz and departmental social events every few weeks
