The Role
Extremely enjoyable. Colleagues were helpful and welcoming and the work was varied and usually interesting.
Colleagues ensured I was given tasks appropriate to an intern/first year grad and able to contribute to the team.
Any help required was given provided I sought it out. All colleagues were very helpful and my counseller made sure I was able to pursue the oppurtunities I wanted to explore.
Most of the time I had a steady flow of work. Some days it was slightly slower, some were busier and meant I wanted to stay late to finish off particularly important client work
I worked on several projects were I had specific roles and responsibilities; a large proportion of the work I did would have been seen by the client.
I am far more confident with approaching people for help and scheduling meetings. This has come in useful during my final year project. My organisational skills have developed and I have learnt how a large organisation functions efficiently and professionally.
The Company
A great environment to work in, very approachable colleagues who were very easy to have fun conversations with.
Extremely well organised. A helpful induction with several bonding activities in addition to fun, organised socials.
At the start of the six week internship there were three induction days and a corporate social responsibility (CSR) day. In addition I also had meetings with members of my department to explain certain aspects of the business.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Received a job offer on the Monday after my final week!
The Culture
Regularly met up for lunch and drinks after work.
In London prices are high. However, many of the social events were paid for by EY!
A large amount of bars and pubs in the vicinity, sadly I didn't have the chance to try out the infamous Abacus.
There are a large number of sports teams available to join including tennis and cycling.
