About You
EY clearly invested a great deal of time and effort into their Leadership Academy and I learnt a lot about myself and the firm from it.
The focus was certainly on the individual not on EY
Everything we did was explained fully and the reasons behind everything we did was clear
I learnt a lot about communication skills and leadership, it was very insightful but perhaps not always wholly relevant in the real world.
The Company
The insight was well arranged with timings keeping everybody busy but not overworked.
Friendly environment, everybody got on really well and the division between EY staff and students was hardly felt.
EY definitely invested their time and effort into the individual, it was the main purpose of the insight.
It was very different to what would happen in everyday work at EY, but it did give a good insight into the friendly, personable nature of the firm.
Entirely, the very fact that they host the course in the first place shows the firm's emphasis on the individual, and the company culture shone through.
It effectively showed me that working for a firm like EY would suit me very well.
Everything Else
No need to get paid at all.
Met lots of people from EY including graduate recruitment which is a real positive.
Evening events were very informal and a great opportunity to meet the EY team and the other students.
Our supervisor mentioned it a few times, but it was not the main purpose of the course.
Whatever career path you might be looking at, this course will help you in developing key skills in getting there.
