The Role
It was a valuable insight into what it would be like to work full time at a Big 4 accounting firm.
Those that I worked with were always very supportive and encouraged me to ask questions whenever I was unsure about anything.
Depending on the project that I was assigned on, the managers differed on a weekly basis, however there was always support available from a personal "buddy" at the firm.
Kept fairly busy throughout the internship, although the workload never seemed to be unbearable - the hours reflected that as well.
No real responsibility, except for taking ownership of the work that you had to complete - which I felt was responsibility in itself.
I have picked up a lot of interpersonal skills just from being in a professional corporate environment as well as got a real flavour of the firm's culture.
The Company
It was a very enjoyable place to work, those around me did not seem to be under too much pressure during the day.
Very well organised by those in the graduate recruitment team, made sure that there was always something for you to do.
Throughout the internship, there were evening sessions on interview skills etc to help prepare you for the final partner interview

The Culture
Yes, it was a great bunch of like-minded people - very much a work hard play hard mentality amongst the interns
The office was just off Fleet Street so it was quite expensive, yet there were a few decent pubs in the area.
As mentioned above, several pubs/bars in and around the office that made for a great place to go after work.
I understand that there are plenty of opportunities to help with charitable/community related work once you join the firm
