The Role
I really enjoyed my placement with Nissan, it offered great exposure to an exciting and competitive industry for which I am passionate about.
I felt valued by my colleagues because everybody was welcoming and friendly which made it easy to establish strong working relationships. I also think that my role was important cross-functionally which made me a valuable member of the team.
If ever I had questions or needed help, support was available.
I was busy on a daily basis which I enjoyed as this allowed me to get the most from my time at Nissan.
I feel responsible for several key areas within marketing such as VME analysis.
I will take the skills I have developed into my final year at university which should help me to finish my course in the strongest way possible. They should also help me to establish a graduate career within the automotive industry.
The Company
The general office atmosphere is calm and professional as everybody is focused on getting the job done, which ultimately drives brand performance. There is also lots of fun to be had too during events (e.g. car launches), away days and brand events!
I think the placement scheme is very well organised at Nissan, all placement students understand their roles in the company and what is required of them. There was also a good opportunity to interact and get to know other placement students in a Facebook group prior to starting the placement.
There were lots of cross-funtional introductions which offered a good insight into NMGB. Other training opportunities were also available such as 2-day JATO courses.

Future employment prospects look very appealing and I will be looking to return as a graduate.
The Culture
Everybody was friendly and there were lots of social events outside of work.
There is good access to Central London but it is not the cheapest of areas to live.
Being close to Central London provides many opportunities for a good nightlife.
There were many social events which offered a good opportunity to interact with colleagues outside of the work environment.
