The Role
The work was very interesting all summer, with lots of responsibility being given quickly.
The team I worked with were always willing to help out and listen to my thoughts on the work.
This was excellent, with the junior member on my team providing lots of support and helpful advice to help settle into the role and determine what was expected of me.
Rarely a dull moment.
I worked on a project assigned to me at the start of the summer for most of the placement and was given much autonomy in deciding how to take the project.
The training in the first week was excellent and the general experience and skills gained from the work was invaluable. I learnt most just from talking with other people in the company and seeing how they went about their work.
The Company
The office worked very hard but there was still a real sense that you could email almost anyone and arrange to have a coffee.
Everything was extremely well organised. The training was excellent, I had my computer set up within about 10 minutes of getting in on the first day and the reviews were insightful and offered actionable tips on how to improve.
The first week was all training and was excellent. While on the job there was a speaker series running with general and role specific talks. The role specific talks were extremely valuable and an excellent way to gain a full understanding of what the job involved.

I will be returning in a permanent position.
The Culture
There were organised events for interns which were always very enjoyable, such as a introductory BBQ on the office roof. Colleagues invited interns out to drinks and I had a meal with my team on the last day.
It was expensive, but the salary covered it.
It's the center of London.
There were many clubs running, such as mixed touch rugby.
