  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed it greatly, because it exposed me to real life projects; a work environment which allowed me to gain technical skills and commercial awareness.

  • greatly valued as I had equal opportunities with the graduates.

  • my supervisor was always available to assist with any problems, and I was given the opportunity to attend graduate training to enhance my skills.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • It was a steep learning curve as sometimes I would respond to contractors, if my supervisor had gone for meetings. I was responsible for my own task and had weekly targets based on the project deadlines.

  • I was responsible for my own task and had weekly targets based on the project deadlines. In some cases I had the opportunity to work onsite which gave me hands on experience.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • during the term when I am completing my projects, I think in a more practical sense rather than just theoretical facts alone which has made me realise how work has greatly improved.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • while on placement, I attained a BS7671 Electrical installations certificate and also involved in other one day training opportunities. I also had the privilege of using Revit and other building services tools.
