The Role
I enjoyed it greatly, because it exposed me to real life projects; a work environment which allowed me to gain technical skills and commercial awareness.
greatly valued as I had equal opportunities with the graduates.
my supervisor was always available to assist with any problems, and I was given the opportunity to attend graduate training to enhance my skills.
It was a steep learning curve as sometimes I would respond to contractors, if my supervisor had gone for meetings. I was responsible for my own task and had weekly targets based on the project deadlines.
I was responsible for my own task and had weekly targets based on the project deadlines. In some cases I had the opportunity to work onsite which gave me hands on experience.
during the term when I am completing my projects, I think in a more practical sense rather than just theoretical facts alone which has made me realise how work has greatly improved.
The Company
while on placement, I attained a BS7671 Electrical installations certificate and also involved in other one day training opportunities. I also had the privilege of using Revit and other building services tools.
