The Role
The people were welcoming, interesting and encouraging.
If I was worried, they provided good insights. If I was unsure they pushed me to excel in the answers.
I was never left with nothing to do, but it never engulfed me.
As much or as little as I wanted. I was fully allowed to excel where I wanted to, and to pass over areas which I found boring or uninteresting.
I learned a plethora of useful things, both about the job, and also about working life
The Company
The people were hard-working but understanding. If you made a mistake, but admitted to it, and persevered to correct your fault in the future, no one would ever take you up on it.
Interesting interns. Fun socials.
We had community development events. We learned about many areas of the bank. We were given good supervisors, who were both intellectual and important, but also took time out to talk to us, and make sure we were fine.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
I got the offer
The Culture
I left with contacts I will keep for life. I worked and went out with the other interns, as they were engaging and interesting people.
Not free, it was London. But we were given a good salary for the internship, which covered drinks costs.
London, nothing more needs to be said
I sung in choirs, partied with friends, went on walks, and visited museums and galleries.
