The Role
Enjoyed the very much. Had a good fit with the team and enjoyed the work.
My team was supportive throughout and gave me guidance on tasks
Strong support was given by supervisors and colleagues on my projects.
Just the right amount of work - was not overwhelmed but continuously challenged on a daily basis.
For projects given, I was given the discretion to choose my approach and to some extent, help decide which goals were feasible given the time frame.
Definitely gained much knowledge of the industry from the internship, which will help in a future graduate job.
The Company
For a banking environment, atmosphere was very good. Trading floor is always busy and people talk to each other often.
HR was organised throughout, with frequent appraisals and meetings with supervisors planned.
Was given training/induction first week, and after that, frequent sessions on different asset classes.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Offered a full time graduate job, so couldn't be happier!
The Culture
Frequent networking events with the rest of the intern class + team events.
Standard London livings cost - not cheap but affordable given the intern salary.
Many bars in Canary Wharf.
Given several opportunities for charity work.
