    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really have enjoyed my job! After the 6 months I have done in sales, I will go on to doing 6 months in the marketing dept for Europe so am looking forward to that!

    • All the team was always friendly and involved me in whatever they thought would benefit me

    • Whenever I was given a job to do, It was explained fully and if i ever needed any more help they would give it to me without a problem

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I had a few things which i had to complete on a daily basis, but then project work would mean some days i was much more busy than other days, but never felt rushed off my feet

    • I was given quite a lot of responsibility particularly with the preperation of meetings

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I have become a lot more advanced on excel, powerpoint etc, but I just generally now have a better understanding of the business world

    • Everyone was friendly and chatty so the office had a good atmosphere

    • I think it was very well set up and the company was very supportive of any university commitments I had

    • We had to complete a personal development plan with our managers and they wanted to make sure that we were not only helping the company, but getting good experience so would be able to write an interesting dissertation

    • I would really think about applying to work for GSK full time in the furture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Yes, and i've made a lot of new friends who I will definitly keep in contact with after

    • Think it is quite expensive to live in London, but I lived at home

    • Really good in London, so many places to see, but quite expensive.

    • Yes, but I havent actually joined any new activities/clubs
