The Role
Very good job, and very good company to work for. Theres a good work load with very friendly and approachable staff. You develop many skills that can be taken back to your final year of studies. There is also a very good staff benefits scheme.
Everyone feels valued at GE as team working is essential to every day tasks. Everyone relies on each other to play their part.
Management had a very busy work load and were often in meetings, however were very apprachable when needing guidance.
First few months during the learning period were slow however there was a generous work load when fully into the job role.
There is a big internship at GE and you do get the sense that the Interns all play roles that contribute to the success of the company.
Skills including time-management, IT and communication were developed greatly and will assist you in your final year me in my final year of study.
The Company
Everyone was very hard working but staff socials were often planned to encourage team building.
The internship was very well organised. There is a very large internship scheme and you very quickly notice how you have slotted into the organisation playing a key role with all the full time staff.
The company continually encourages you to develop your skills. This is through networking oportunities, courses such as 'six sigma training' and charity work such as 'maths mentoring'.

The future employment prospects within the organisation are very appealing, as they are such a large company with many opportunities in different areas. There is also a very good staff benefits scheme and the jobs are very reasonably payed.
The Culture
Office and Intern parties were regularly planned and in some cases were paid for by the company.
Cardiff has a great social scene as is very reasonably priced compare to living in some big cities. Cardiff was also voted best city in the UK to live for young proffessionals.
Cardiff has a very vibrant nightlife. Somewhere to visit every night of the week and very reasonable prices.
There were a number of activities to get involved with outside of work such as sports teams, charity work and courses to improve our own skills.
