The Role
I met nice people and had fun but did not enjoy the work.
Everyone was very polite and welcoming when I was introduced to them but then didn't speak to me for the rest of the placement.
I got on with my trainee supervisor very well, who explained what I had to do very clearly.
I rarely had that much to do.
Drafting letters was the most responsibility I was given.
Did not learn anything new by way of skills or knowledge.
The Company
Very quiet and traditional. It was also very tense as half way through the placement NQ positions were announced and lots of people did not get a job.
It was fairly well organised. The firm changed their printing system halfway through which was chaotic but could not be helped.
Nothing.
Subsidised Canteen
A nice, traditional firm but not for me.
The Culture
Got on very well with a few who i'd met on another placement.
Were taken to the expensive cocktail bars, not the student pubs!
Its Birmingham!
Nothing beyond the socials.
