The Role
The placement gave me a great insight into the law firm, and the people were extremely welcoming and friendly. However the two week assessment was very intense, with continued assessment and the challenging task of condensing an eighty page case study onto two sides of A4. However this form of placement is for the law firm to make a judgement as to whether you are a potential candidate for a long term job.
People within the firm offered their continued support and regularly offered constructive feedback on the various tasks I performed for them.
I was continually offered guidance on the work I was performing, and i was instructed that I only had to ask if I had any queries.
As much as can be expected from a legal perspective.
I will take the skills I have learnt at Pinsent Masons and apply them to my other Law placements this summer.
The Company
My department was relaxed and welcoming.
The structure mixed hard work and staff socials, and I we were provided with a detailed itinary of what was happening in the week.
They invested time and effort in offering practice presentations each morning.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Hopefully I will be considered for long term employment.
The Culture
All my fellow placement workers were social and outgoing.
Reasonable including travel.
I go to University in Leeds and go out here alot.
Too tired.
