The Role
Working on a really exciting product and allowed to do what I was interested in
Just like any other employee there, look to us for more up-to-date advise
This was probably fundamental to why it was such a good experience
Working on a new product so had a lot to get on with
Was given my own team and work a lot of process improvements that effect the whole department
Manager was very knowledgeable and mentored me throughout the year

Very laid back, everyone focused more on working as a team
Moved from introduction sessions straight into work well-informed in a short space of time

The Culture
Large and diverse body of placement students at Microsoft as a whole, plenty going off
Expensive, but that's a drawback of being near London
Good, university town so always somewhere to go
Got involved in charity work, sports and general socialising with colleagues
