The Role
My manager allowed my role to be very flexible - allowing me to develop skills that I wanted to develop with scope to work on various projects.
The projects that I managed were integral to the teams success and I was seen to be doing a real job and not just an intern.
My manager held weekly one to one meetings on progress.
Because of my job role this varied during times in the year. I could be extremely busy one day and the next having to find something to do - which wasn't always a bad thing as it let me 'network' with other teams.
I was not just the intern but a vital member of the team and was given the opportunities to lead my own projects.
I feel I have developed more in the year than I have in the time at university.
The Company
Atmosphere was great, hot desking meant that I met new people all the time.
There were only 3 occasions that made the internship really feel like an organised program. There could have been more times were all the interns get together.
I was able to attend training courses without any trouble from my manager.
