The Role
It was very challenging for sure, but provided the right amount of satisfaction to make it worth it
The employees took me in as one of their own. I never felt like I was being treated like a nobody.
The internship program had a phenomenal support scheme with Mentors, Buddies and very supportive HR reps.
This is an odd one to really measure as we were all incredibly busy - but it was exactly what all of us were there for. For that reason, I would say it was a perfect balance.
I was surprised by the amount of responsibility I was given - it took me a while to get used to it.
I can safely say that I learnt more in those 10 weeks than I have during the past 2 years of University
The Company
It was the Sales&Trading floor - the fun really never stopped.
The organization was seamless, HR did an incredible job making sure that you had all the portals of information at the ready when you needed.
People were incredibly helpful and committed to taking the time out of their day to teach me something.
Company Parties/Events
I got a job with them and can not wait to begin!
The Culture
Yes - the social scene was a bit mild as it was an internship and we all had a goal to achieve. But everyone was very friendly and we went for the occasional pint at the pub.
London is London. Not much else to be said.
Canary Wharf is a bit secluded from London in terms of nightlife - but only 15 minutes on the tube and you're already in the center of things.
Plenty of opportunities. I took part in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge (5.8km run) and we had dragon boat racing etc..
