The Role
The work was varied and interesting with much support given. he social events also really welcomed us into the firm, with many opportunities to meet trainees and partners on a more informal basis.
I found that everyone was willing to support me and answer any queries I had - legal or otherwise. I also found that partners were willing to take time out of their busy schedules to give me feedback on my written work.
There was enough work given to keep me challenged and stimulated. But at the same time vac schemers were not encouraged to stay late. Social events also kept us busy.
I felt I was given a lot of responsibility, but this was combined with a high level of support.
I learnt alot about what is what like to work in a international commericial law firm and this experience proven to be invaluable when deciding where to accept a training contract.
The Company
There was a genuine open door policy in the office and everyone was approachable and friendly. Yet at the same time everyone worked hard.
There seemed to be the perfect balance between social events and actually gaining work experience. 'Breakfast briefings' where we received an introduction to various departments also proved to be especially useful.

The Culture
All the vac schemers got on well, thus social events were always enjoyable. Many of us are still in touch
Social events were mainly organised and paid for by the firm which was fantastic. But of course, living and socialising in central London is always going to be fairly expensive.
We were introduced to some nice pubs and bars
