The Role
I had a well defined role with a good level of responsibility.
Everyone I worked with was very friendly and helpful.
I had an induction week with one-to-one training from different members of the team.
I was in control of my own projects but was always able to leave on time.
I was responsible for researching, producing and editing two departmental newsletters.
It gave me a good impression of what working at the firm as a trainee will be like, as I gained a good knowledge of the computer system and the office.
The Company
We had monthly departmental drinks and there was a constant supply of birthday cake. Most people ate together for lunch unless they were too busy.
I had a hand over week from the previous paralegal and I did the same for the one after me. I had thorough training and there was always someone to ask if I was stuck.
I had an induction week where I gained training in every area I needed.
Subsidised Canteen

I am really looking forward to starting as a trainee.
The Culture
I usually went to lunch with trainees and also took part in social events organised by the firm. There wasn't anything specifically organised for paralegals while I was there though.
For central London, there are some cheaper areas in Shoreditch.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere in Exchange Square - during the summer there are lots of events and it's great to go for a drink on the lawn.
Lots of CSR activities were available - I entered the Great City Run with the HSF team.
