The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement, George are lovely welcoming company to work for.
I felt extremely valued by my colleagues and everyone was very friendly and happy to help at all times.
The support from superiors and managers is invaluable.
Most days were extremely busy, some days busier than others , but there was never any time to get bored!
You get given lots of responsibility which makes you feel like a valued member of the team.
The training I received at George was more specific for the job, however they offered lots of training courses to do with life skills such as communication, people management etc , which would be helpful in every day life.
The Company
Everyone was really enthusiastic and friendly , always went for lunch together etc.
The placement was organised well although I did move to a busier department halfway through the year, this benefitted me in a huge way.
There are loads of courses available to further your own knowledge of the industry and how diffrerent aspects of the industry work. E.g process and freight courses, costing etc.

I was fortunate to be offered a job with the company.
The Culture
I didn't see them very often as we were spread around the building, however there was a good social scene among other colleagues as most of the assistants were of similar to age.
It is based near leicester , I lived at home but the cost of living is pretty average as to what it would be elsewhere in the east midlands....a lot cheaper than London.
I didn't live there , but leicester is a good night out as there are lots of students in the city.
Im not sure about this one , I know there was a netball club and maybe some other stuff.
