The Role
Have had a great year and been given the chance to get involved in projects which interest me as well as the day to day grind.
I worked in an office of about 20 people after an initial bedding in period, I found it a great place to work.
Although guidance wasn't always offered upfront it was upon request and every one of my decisions was supported by management.
I like to be busy, and I had the opportunity to work as hard as I wanted. Whilst I could have worked 9 to 5 or got involved more heavily as I chose to.
I was the first student for a couple of years in my department. This enabled me to make the role my own and by the end of my year I had similar responsibilities as my manager who handled the business events whilst I had ownership of technical events.
The confidence gained this year has already come to fore in helping apply for other jobs at interviews.
The Company
As a fairly outgoing person a good atmosphere is something that I enjoy and look for where I work.
Everything was ready to run when I joined the company
Online training courses and shadowing opportunities were made available to help me develop
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I have applied to return as a graduate having enjoyed my year
The Culture
Although around mostly technical people with different interests there were still some people who I got along with and enjoyed socializing with
Winchester is a fairly expensive area
The nights are what you make it, luckily I had a great group of friends
There are several clubs which we had the opportunity to join as well as team meals etc
