The Role
Great internship, interesting project and incredibly nice people!
My colleagues were easily approachable, always eager to help and clarify things when needed and also very fun to be around!
The support offered by not only my manager / supervisor, but also by many people in different areas of the business was fantastic, giving me the opportunity to learn a great amount.
The degree of responsibility given to me has been quite high with regards to the project I was assigned. I have been tasked with setting the foundation for a new IT system with an expected lifespan of 3-5 years.
The Company
Atmosphere in the office was great, people usually having quite an easy-going attitude. Team drinks were quite common and it offered great opportunity to know your colleagues outside of work.
The overall internship was very well organised. It offered inductions into every area of the business. The structure consisted of everyone being assigned a project and had to deliver a presentation at the end in front of the business panel.
The company provided lunch and learn sessions into every area of the business. It also offered a deep commodities trading session, as well as presentation skills training.
The Culture
There was a great social scene amongst the interns, everyone was incredibly nice and got along perfectly.
Considering it is based in London Victoria, the cost of living and socialising is quite high.
There was a great deal of bars, pubs, restaurants available.
