The Role
I was able to travel to a variety of clients and was rarely bored.
I felt included and my colleagues showed appreciation for my work.
Whenever I had a question, my supervisor would be happy to answer. Don't expect to always be given work, simply ask for it.
The standard working hours are 9 - 5. When travelling to clients, you will face additional travelling time, but overall this job provides a very good balance.
I felt like I was contributing to the actual audit process, being involved in testing and communicating directly with the clients.
I learned how to better analyse information and provide a good judgement. This will be useful for a future career.
The Company
The office was relatively empty as many would be at client offices.
I was told every week which team I would be working with.
Through the tasks I did throughout the placement, I gained a good insight into how a graduate job would be. There was always on-line training available but this was not a priority.

National Travel
I managed to get a job offer and I believe the chance I quite high you will receive an offer if you do well and show your enthusiasm in the final interview.
The Culture
There were only 3 other interns, 1 of which I hung out with once in a while.
I was in Edinburgh during the Fringe festival, so prices were high.
Edinburgh is a nice city with a good atmosphere, which you also find in the night life.
