The Role
The assistant manager placement at Moto was enjoyable through the accommodating members of staff at all levels. Mixture of experiences; different course days, opportunity to take part in any challenges or activities.
From top to the bottom of the Moto staff hierarchy I was appreciated and respected. The opportunity to speak to General Managers, Regional Directors and to meet the CEO of the organisation aided the process of integrating into Moto.
I contacted a number of unit managers on site, the General Managers on site as well as off site, for any training or guidance. The option to do so vastly enhanced my progression within the company.
Everyday provided new challenges, a fast paced industry that Moto are part of resulted in packed days.To ensure all aspects of your unit are successful, attention to detail is essential.
Full responsibility of the unit were provided once I was up to the task in hand. When my training was fully complete and experience had been added to, I was running the unit by myself at times. This responsibility aided my progression and has enhanced my credentials greatly.
Copious amounts of training is offered to the trainee, varying from first aid, HR related issues to budgeting. This training helped me through the year, during my degree and will undoubtedly aid future performance in employment.
The Company
Different days provided new vibes. Specific targets often altered the atmosphere, however it is your job to try and provide a balance.
This was the first year placements in the company for a number of years. My training at the start was not ideal, being slightly pro longed however this did improve my stature, an issue which has been improved. The fundamentals of the placement were well set up- through training, targets and experience they wanted us to gain.
Moto invested generous amount of time and money into the progression of myself. Large number of training days and extra time spent to answer any questions I had.

The Culture
I had a very strong social relationship with fellow placement students and work colleagues.
The cost of living was in the majority, low. Although, the social offerings in the area were not as high.
