The Role
It was a great experience and really gives you a good insight into what life is like to be an Auditor.
I changed who I was working with each week but everyone was friendly and even though there were no other interns in the office at the time I was there, which was daunting at first, people made the time to make me feel welcome.
I was always encouraged to ask questions no matter how small. I had different managers for each client I was allocated to but all of them were very helpful and would take the time to explain things to me.
When out on a client site I always had work to do and was kept busy. However there were times when I was not assigned to any particular job and so just working from the office and that could get quite boring but it only happened a few times over the whole placement.
I was given sections of the audit to complete after a few weeks of working there. This involved setting up meetings with the client and completing the work papers for that section.
After the internship I have decided that I want to be an Auditor therefore the skills I learnt will be invaluable to me when I start working and it will provide me with a head start.
The Company
The actual office was generally quite quiet as most people would be out on client sites but you could always find someone to have lunch with!
The only negative thing to say would be that it would have been better to be at client sites all the time instead of having periods in the office.
You have a two day induction before you start the internship where you learn more about what the company has to offer to clients. You can also take part in some online courses which tell you more about how to audit.

Company Parties/Events
Currently waiting on a final interview but I would definitely work there if they offered me the job!
The Culture
They have quite a few office events they run throughout the year. I was the only intern there at the time but I went to the summer party which was good fun.
I think the city as a whole is a relatively cheap area to live.
From the summer party I went to and talking to collegues the nightlife seemed pretty good.
Some of the women in the office went to Zumba every week and also organised events like surfing trips outside of work.
