  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • A highly informative and useful day.

  • The firm were very friendly and welcoming, and I felt at ease from the moment I arrived.

  • We were given great tips for applications, however left to our own devices when it came to doing a client presentation - learning on the job, but received detailed feedback afterwards.

  • I received both positive feedback and some constructive criticism, which has helped me in presentations at university since.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • It may have been useful to have slightly more time spent on tips for the application process, however the programme had to fit into one working day, and each section was well organised.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The employees and other students on the day were enthusiastic, and there was a very friendly atmosphere in the office throughout the day.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Again, the programme was just for one day, but during that time I received detailed personal feedback from my presentation skills which I have found to be very useful and have relied upon since.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The client presentation and case study was a very practical task which was a great way of showing us some of the work the firm does. There was also a general overview of the firm given in the morning session.

  • From the short time I was there I met and had the opportunity to speak with several employees and get a feel for how the company works.

  • Yes, my travel expenses were reimbursed.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes - we had the chance to ask some of the recruitment team questions, and the client from our presentation was a partner, whom we had the opportunity to speak to.

  • We had 2 breaks and a lunch break during the day where we spent time with other students and employees who were running the day.

  • The day was more focussed on the work the firm do.

  • A very helpful and interesting day - never a dull moment! I have found feedback I received on the day extremely useful.
