The Role
A fascinating insight to an industry I want to work on
Very supportive throughout. When I did good work it was recognised, and when something needed to be improved it was communicated constructively.
I had no professional experience but was made welcome and given help and advice whenever needed. Obviously some managers were better than others, but overall a great learning atmosphere.
The nature of my clients (and the luck of the draw) meant I worked significantly longer hours than some of my fellow interns. I saw this as a positive as I got a great insight into what life is really like.
I was very surprised at the level of responsibility I was given, and when it came round to getting my feedback, it turned out I had been doing the work of a third year graduate - which shows how much they trust in their interns.
I have used a lot of the computer based skills already back at University.
The Company
It was great but sometimes it was very busy.
Extremely well organised - campus recruitment have done an excellent job
Training provided at the beginning was outstanding and some ongoing training good but certain masterclasses poorly organised
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Extremely appealing
The Culture
We all went out together at numerous times during the internship.
Not as expensive as London.
Nightlife was what you would expect from a city
Opportunities from sports to cultural events
