The Role
I greatly enjoyed both the work and the social events
Everyone was very friendly and helpful, keen to delegate work to me whenever possible
We were generally kept well-informed but found HR slow to reply to requests or other queries at times
Had a steady flow of work, always had time for a lunch break with the others and left office at a good time.
Very little administrative-type work and instead worked on memos and drafting for associates and partners.
Definitely more aware of the sort of work expected from trainees, as well as some useful revision for the Final exams next year!
The Company
Very informal and friendly
Slight problem with gaps in meals since a lot of social events started straight after work, finishing late.
Lots of informative presentations, group exercises and a useful project with persoanl feedback.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Would be delighted to secure a training contract following interview.
The Culture
Always went for lunch together and whenever there were no formal social events we went for post-work drinks. Met up at the weekend a couple of times as well.
Pay just about covered rent in student housing. Did not spend much on socialising at all - was fairly easy to find somewhere with moderate prices.
Lots of nice bars but barely any clubs.
Had a community investment outing for a few hours.
