The Role
I really enjoyed my placement with Danone - I was given great support from my manager, worked on varied and interesting projects, and made some great friends.
I felt part of the team from Day 1.
My manager was fantastic - she really struck the balance between lots of support and guidance at the beginning of my placement, to letting me do my own thing once I was confident with the goals I had to achieve.
Every day is different - there is no chance to get bored or complacent.
The level of responsibility and decision-making power I got is pretty amazing, considering I had no experience in my field/department whatsoever.
The skills I developed definitely helped me, as I am still with Danone now!
The Company
The average age of the company is quite young, and there are lots of interns and grads who know how to have fun. Everyone does work really hard though, and is willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.
I was only the second placement to take on the role, but everything went well. I already had some tasks when I joined, and then after a few months I was able to influence which projects I wanted to work on.
Danone doesn't distinguish between placements/interns and premanent employees when it comes to training and development - everyone has the same chance to develop.

The Culture
London can be quite expensive - but if students can live here, then placements definitely can!
Danone organises many activities: sports (yoga, bootcamp, pilates, etc), social (pub quiz, team trips away) and volunteering in local schools.
