The Role
Really enjoyed it! Worth every little bit of effort and strain. Brilliant placement!
Really felt like I had been part of the team for years rather than months! Everyone was so helpful and genuine.
Every week I was to attend a meeting with a supervisor to discuss my progress, development and feelings towards the placement.
Managing a department is tough and so I was always busy and there were always obstacles to overcome. I did enjoy finding solutions to these obstacles, though!
Really impressed by the amount of responsibility confided in me. I was able to implement my own ideas and visions in order to make the department run smoothly and successfully.
Everyday I am using the skills that I gained from the placement. My time there was invaluable!
The Company
The other staff were sociable and easy to talk to which helped the months pass quickly.
Flawless. I knew well-beforehand what I would be involved with on the placement and how I was expected to progress.
I was encouraged to ask for training and the courses they provided were unparalleled.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Before my placement concluded, I was recommended to apply for the graduate scheme.
The Culture
I worked in close contact with a fellow placement atudent who I got on like fire with.
The North is much cheaper than the South and so I noticed that my money went much further than it usually does back home or at uni.
It's a city centre so there is bedlam everywhere!
Quite a few gyms and local activities
