The Role
Work was varied and challenging, I got the chance to have control over my own project over the internship.
Everyone was really friendly and there was a real focus on getting interns to meet as many people as possible and see the workings of the business.
I had two direct mentors throughout the internship as well as mentors assigned to all interns. I never felt like I couldnt ask anything or that I wasn't being supported.
Due to the internship being a project with huge scope which we were in control of there was never a day where there was nothing to do. If we ran out of tasks new objectives were created.
we were responsible for the direction of the project and the content, only vague objectives given at the start so I felt like I had alot of control.
Weekly presentations from employees on different topics allowed us to learn about practical applications of subjects we had studied at university which has been invaluable coming back into uni and given context to my degree.
The Company
working with other interns that were the same age meant that everyone got along very well. The office is full of people who are fascinated by the field and that means everybody enjoys their work.
The internship has been running a few years now and feedback has been an important part, so each year the scheme improves, previously interns had said that they wanted to have more formal learning about different areas of the business so this year we had weekly presentations on different topics.
If ever there was a topic or skill I wasnt familiar with then I was given the time, resources and help to learn it.
Sports and Social Club

Financial Bonus
I finished at the start of September, had an interview at the start of november and found I had got the job 2 days after that.
The Culture
BT helped us find to cheap accommodation, the wage more than covered the cost of living (and socialising)
Ipsiwich, good not great, only 1 real club, a few bars and loads of pubs.
Lots of clubs, the Cricket team was a big deal while I worked there.
