The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed the entire year.
My colleagues valued my contributions to the projects which I worked on and made me feel as if I my work was just as important as the full time employees.
If I ever had any issues I could take them up with both my line manager and also my team lead.
The first week or two was a bit slow as they tried to ease me in to it, but after this I never found myself with less work than I wanted or more work than I could handle.
I was left solely in charge of several aspects within my project with minimal supervision.
I gained extensive knowledge of agile methods, test driven development, continuous integration and automated testing which will be invaluable both in my final year of study and my career.
The Company
My colleagues were friendly and helpful and there were numerous social events throughout the year.
There was a formal training provided at the beginning to help ease you in to the job.
There were opportunities throughout to complete self taught training courses on numerous topics, as well as managerial support and encouragement in the form of a personal development plan.
Flexi Time
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
I have secured a graduate position with them.
The Culture
My fellow placement students and the full time employees who were on the graduate scheme often organised social events.
The same as when I was at university.

There were opportunities for volunteering numerous times.
