The Role
Great atmosphere, the other interns and all departments you are placed in make it an unforgettable experience, even if you don't want to wish to stay in banking, its a great opportunity which any future employer will value.
Team I was placed with supported me and had more belief in me than I did. They pushed and challenged me and included me with everything, I didn't feel like a burden but a valued team member contributing to the work
I had weekly meetings and always knew I could ask for support or guidance.
I was given many tasks and managed them in my own time, i always had something to do although some days were busier than others with intern events to attend.
The jobs I was given meant dealing with large sums of money and talking directly to clients, I was thrown in with a lot of trust and was taking on huge tasks helping out other team members.
I feel a changed person in terms of being able to deal with stress and self responsibility, it allowed me to grow up.
The Company
Friendly people with great banter, this is a great bank to work for. All departments have energetic and fun people to work with, there is a reason it is so competitive to work here!
There was excellent communication and organised events, was a fun experience throughout.
A lot of time is given to the intern class, we are treated as future leaders and I felt the people working there really believe in us.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
They invest time in you for a reason, they put you through a rigorous interview process for a reason, you are worthy of the company and they don't want to let you go once you're in.
The Culture
All interns are friendly and all in the same position so help out.
You're in the financial district of London, its not cheap but it's fun when you're getting paid!
Lots of bars and restaurants, Thursdays are buzzing and your team are always out for drinks.
Limited time in the internship but still got a feel of the chance to volunteer etc.
