The Role
I really enjoyed the people in the office and throughout the company. Everyone was very helpful and informative. I was also able to do a lot of different things, considering my short time here.
My colleagues in my department and in my office were very helpful. As well as people I interacted with on a daily basis. Some employees in the company were more untrusting when they first met me or worked with me.
The management in my department was very helpful and supportive of the work I did. They occasionally met with me to make sure I was getting things out of my internship and would ask what else I want to do while I was here.
I was busy on most days. There were some slower days when other people in my department were out of the office and I didn't have a lot to do.
I was pleasantly surprised when I was given the responsibility of interviewing candidates for some open positions in the office.
I think the training I received will be helpful, no matter what field I go into. I am hoping to stay in HR and so I think it will be extremely helpful.
The Company
Everyone is very friendly and really enjoys what they do and where they work.
It was a casual set up but they had had interns before and knew what they were doing.
They allowd me to go to a lot of informational meetings with upper level management. They also set me to training and other workshops in London.
Company Parties/Events
Lots of people have asked me if I would come back to work here and they seem like they would want me to come back.
The Culture
Most people are very social and like to stop and chat. I was also able to socialize with the other interns and some other younger employees.
I was staying with a family so did not have many expenses but the area was about average in what I would expect with cost.
I don't think there was a lot of nightlife in the area, at least not what I would call nightlife. There's a pretty good selection of pubs but that's about it.
Yes, I went on charity events, went to other company offices, went on an intern trip into London
