The Role
BT gave so many opportunities to learn. The strongest skills developed so far were from placement year.
Everyone was very friendly. My team was like my family. We always support each other and never let anyone to struggle with work.
Regular meetings with manager did provide a lot of support and guidance though my placement. Everyone is busy but if you need a meeting then it is not a big problem to find the time for it.
I would say there was time when I was very busy and there were days when you really looking for anything to do. But most of the time you are really busy and focused on your work.
There was responsibility given but nothing like running the show. We are just interns and it is fair not to make people very responsible who are going to leave in a year. But when I was leaving I had to transfer some work to my colleagues.
Lots of technology skills learned. I am really proud that I was working at BT.
The Company
It was great fun. I really miss those days now.
It was quite organised. No one was left alone. There is always someone to help.
There are learning tools that you can use at any time. On-line training, books etc.. It is all available and it is only up to you whether use it or not.
