The Role
I really enjoyed my time at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and I felt as if it was beneficial for me in the long term. The job itself was diverse and interesting, and I enjoyed the freedom and challenges. Not quite the best job in the world, but certainly great for a placement year.
I had a fantastic relationship with my colleagues in Warranty, especially with my Manager. It's just a shame that I did not have a strong bond with the rest of the department. The "student" label, never made me feel valued to the extent I would have liked.
As mentioned above, my manager and I got on really well so when I encountered a problem we could openly discuss it. He offered great guidance and support no matter what the problem.
My workload varied on a day to day basis, but it was a controllable amount. Sometime I found myself wanting my responsibilities within the role as my confidence grew.
As I mentioned above, I feel as if I could have handled greater projects which required more responsibility but as a student I felt restricted.
SAP is the main skill I can see as having the most impact in my CV. I have developed a lot fo skills on the system and how to get the most useful information out of the system for analysis purposes.
The Company
Really pleasent atmosphere, with plenty of windows and relaxing. Everyone tends to work quietly which makes it somewhat peaceful. It never feels tense or frantic.
There was a real process in place by the HR Team, and the 2 week handover period was pretty seamless.
I never felt as if the company invested in me with money, since I wanted to continue my German studies but I was not permitted since I was not staying with the company. Alos, during my University ISP I was not given the possibility to visit any dealers. In terms of educating my in the role, my manager had invested a lot of tiem into me.

Company Parties/Events
I have had not had any job offers, but if I were to return to the company it is likely that I would be accepted.
The Culture
We had formed a really good group of students, interns and apprentices who I became good friends with. We had quite a few group activities unaffiliated with work.
The West Sussex area is generally quite expensive compared to most, and I am very aquainted with cheap student living so this was more expensive in comparison. There were things to do in Chichester, just not as much as a large city.
The nightlife was poor for a city, but chichester has strict rules on nightlife. The only close night club was a barn just outside Chichester. The positive side, is that Brighton and Portsmouth were both relatively close, but it made going out even more expensive.
I did many activites with the friends I had made, but it is your standard afair material.
