About You
got to see some very interesting stuff and gave a very good insight into what being a lawyer entails, especially in London.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and at no point did I feel as if i was a burden for anyone which was very pleasing for me. The tasks i was given also helped me feel included as part of the team.
The training buddy and associate i was with were always there when i needed help and they never neglected me. I was always well guided according to the task i was doing.
Has shown me how a large firm works and in particular a law firm. when it comes to choosing my degree if i choose law it shows the university i have had an interest in law for along time.
The Company
Always had things planned each day, at no point did I find myself sitting with nothing to do. The trip to the law courts was particularly interesting.
Very friendly and including.
both the associate and buddy were willing to give up their time to help and look after me. I also had my own account set up on the computer so i could all the features on the computer and firms intraweb
before the work experience i was interested in law but did not have a real idea as to what a day to day life as one was like but after my week i do.
Showed that the company is really just like one family, with each team dependent on the other.l However i was only there for a short period i did not get to see the all the different areas of the company.
Showed me that a career as a lawyer is a fulfilling, interesting job and has definitely made me more determined to become one.
Everything Else
all travel and lunch expenses were all paid for.
on the first day there was a talk with two trainee lawyers which gave us an insight into how life as one actually is however there could have been more done.
as there was limited time there was an awful lot of chance form social events.
through contact with the associate i was paired with i found out that the firm has a wide range of events and activities employees could get involved in.
Definitely! had a really fun week which also gave me great insight and experience.
