About You
The Vacation Scheme was a valuable insight into a top city firm.
The other Vacation Schemers and I were made to feel like part of the firm from the moment we arrived. I was quickly integrated into the department I was assigned to (Real Estate). My supervisor was always more than willing to provide assistance and answer any questions I had.
A lot of guidance ranging from trainees to partners themselves.
I worked on some interesting things in the Real Estate department, including drafting letters to clients and reviewing leases other documents.
The Company
The graduate recruitment team were faultless and the whole week worked like clockwork.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Simmons & Simmons. Whilst everyone was extremely hardworking there was no unnecessary pressure and the open door policy certainly helped me feel comfortable at the firm.
I was assigned my own supervisor and trainee. Both delegated work to me and went out of their way to make sure I was being looked after. We sat down and talked about work projects with each other, and they even treated me to lunch on more than one occasion!
Simmons & Simmons is a very friendly but professional firm.
Everything Else
The graduate recruitment team organised a number of networking events, including brunch with partners and a question and answer session with representatives from the main departments.
I thoroughly enjoyed the social event opportunities. We were taken to Urban Golf on the penultimate night which was fantastic. The trainees and graduate recruitment team that came with us joined in the fun and we all had a great evening.
