The Role
Initially I enjoyed my placement but there was not enough training or responsibility to continue this enjoyment after 3 months.
I only really had contact with my manager who was rarely in the office. I was always praised for the work I did do.
I had 1 hour meetings with my manager perhaps once or twice a week. This was not enough to give me a sufficient workload. I would ask for more work but it never materialised.
I was very bored most of the time spending most of the day on microsoft excel.
There was a chronic lack of responsibility. The advertised customer contact was a fiction.
This is not the field which I would like to go into anymore however I did learn how a global company operates and a lot of computer skills.
The Company
My office had a maximum of 10 people in at any one time. There was a huge level of isolation from the head office. People barely said hello to each other.
It was organised very well. However the job I was doing wasn't what was advertised.
No training. When I had a lack of work I would use online resources to teach myself skills such as VBA.

The Culture
There were 3 students including myself in my office who were both very nice.
It is based on the University of Warwick campus so had student prices.
Luckily I still had friends at the university to go out with. Any student at any university can join sports clubs and societies at Warwick which was a real bonus.
We went out for one meal.
