  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The Open Day was an extremely rewarding occasion to explore the Baker & McKenzie office, gain a feel for their working environment, an insight into their practice areas and advice from current trainees.

    • The firm made me feel very welcome, and I left the Open Day feeling very positive and ready to submit an application for a vacation scheme.

    • The firm was very supportive and accommodating throughout the Open Day.

    • What I discovered and learnt during the Open Day will has been extremely beneficial in clarifying what I want out of a career in commercial law, and the style of firm that I envisage myself succeeding in.

    • The whole day was very structured, organised and informative.

    • The firm was energetic, enthusiastic, positive and everyone appeared light hearted and funny.

    • They provided a good range of presentations and interactive activities

    • The firm definitely helped confirm that Baker & McKenzie is the style of firm that I envisage myself pursuing a long-term legal career.

    • Talking with trainees, associates and partners gave a good flavour of the company culture

    • The Open Day was valuable in emphasising that a career in commercial law is what I am passionate about pursuing.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • The networking lunch provided an occasion to network with members of the firm, and there was a networking event with trainees. There was also plenty of opportunity to ask questions among any of the people we met throughout the day.

    • Everyone in the firm was very keen to discuss the great social life within the firm.

    • Was definitely one of the best Open Days I have attended, in terms of the breadth of activities and the variety of members of the firm we had the opportunity to network with.
