The Role
I worked in two different teams for the duration of my placement and not once did I feel like the student that is only there for a year. I felt valued and that my opinion mattered.
Unfortunately, my manager went on maternity leave towards the end of my placement but for the time I worked with her, she offered me all the support she could give me (and has said she'll continue to support me in any way she can now that my placement is over)
I constantly had work to do and was therefore never bored.
I had support from my supervisor but was responsible for an entire departments training needs and responsible for the recruitment of 25 students for the next year!
The Company
Working in the Learning and Devleopment Department helped...
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Healthcare from home
The Culture
It's a 25 minute train ride to central London so can't expect it to be that cheap! But compared to those in central London, Welwyn is cheaper
It's what you make it.
