The Role
I was given clear tasks to complete that were both interesting and varied.
Everyone was very friendly, despite being busy and took time out to come and say hello and see how I was getting on.
Felt that I could ask my supervisor anything and did not feel like I was a burden at all.
I always had work to do, but was not bombarded with it. It was up to me to use my initiative to ask for more work once I had finished a task.
Any work that I was given was checked thoroughly by someone else.
Having completed my LPC, it was useful to put these skills into practice.
The Company
It was very busy with lots going on.
It was well organised with the right balance of spending time in department, but also assessments and other exercises to engage in.
It seems like Walker Morris are genuinely interested in what you are like as a person and do want to get to know you.
I would love a job with them, but know that it is very competitive.
The Culture
Yes, all the trainees seemed to get on really well and enjoyed spending time together. They were all fun and easy to get on with. I had a really fun night on the social with them all, and the other vac schemers.
Leeds is fairly reasonable, the bars that we went to were not too expensive but were still pleasant.
I think Leeds has a fantastic mix of bars, pubs and clubs to suit most people.
We were invited for drinks on the friday night after our placement had finished which was a nice way to wind down and relax and socialise a bit more. The wednesday night social was also good fun.
