The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement at L'Oreal.
My team were always looking out for me and very supportive.
The support and day-to-day advice I received from my line manager was beyond fantastic.
My workload was busy but manageable.
For an intern, I was actually given a high level of responsibility and was placed in charge of major projects.
I developed lots of transferable skills, such as time management, presentation, negotiation, and Microsoft Excel skills.
The Company
The brand I worked on within L'Oreal always had a very energetic vibe and positive lively atmosphere.
There was a basic structure and lots of movement and flexibility within that.
There weren't many specific training days/sessions, but I was constantly learning and developing on the job.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Healthcare from home
You can apply for the Management Trainee scheme during your internship. I was fortunate enough to be able to secure a place on the scheme!
The Culture
There was a good intern community at the company, with an intern committee planning socials.
The cost of living in London is typically high.
Lots of nearby bars and pubs, and decent nightlife in London is never too far away.
