The Role
Lots of responsibility and variety - enjoyed everyday!
Came to know almost everybody in the Marketing department and got particularly close to my core team.
My manager was really supportive and gave me real responsibility.
Nice balance - some periods were very busy and needed to stay later than usual finish time (mainly when leading up to an event).
Lots of different projects and personal responsibility to get on with elements of a project with support on hand.
I feel confident that working for Xerox will be massively beneficial when returning to uni, not only for the work ethic I've developed but in new marketing knowledge I've developed and understanding a lot more about the 'world of work'. I also hope that it will help me with employment after graduation! Fingers crossed!
The Company
Really good atmosphere, especially in the marketing department. Team was especially good fun to be around and we had some nice out of work socials too!
Couldn't fault the support network offered by Xerox - not only my manager and team who were always able to help with questions but the people in the company generally were extremely welcoming and friendly. Didn't meet anybody who dismissed me as a student who wasn't worth there time.
There is a scheme called Learning@Xerox which provided support on Microsoft programmes and I was able to be involved in aspects of work which the company could have chosen not to allow me to attend due to the cost implications but this was never the case.

Xerox provide a graduate scheme which I am interested in applying for after I finish uni.
The Culture
Big student community with over 60 students across the campuses in the UK.
Very expensive area due to the proximity to London. Rent is deer because Uxbridge is on the tube line and linked up well with London. Generally expensive to live but the salary easily covered it.
Uxbridge has a few clubs and bars with a fairly good student atmosphere because it's home to Brunel uni however London offers the best nightlife.
Some sports and clubs to get involved in.
