The Role
I definitely want to continue in this area of work! I got to work on exciting projects are tried plenty of new things.
The feedback they gave me was great. The always tell me when I've done something well and thank me for my hard work.
They're fantastic! They trust you to carry out your work but make it clear that they are always available to answer questions and help out. They're very approachable and always explain everything. I now have a really strong understanding of the events, even parts which aren't specific to my internship.
I always had plenty to do and really enjoyed this. I felt like my work was valued and useful. It's helpful to sit down with your team and talk through the deadlines for each task to ensure you prioritise correctly,.
They give you important work and put their trust in you but are always there to support you if you need help. I worked on things that will impact event day and that's great to know.
They gave me the confidence and skills to apply for an Event Assistant role! I start in a few months, working in the East Team for Cancer Research UK.
The Company
CLT are defnitely the best team! Everyone is always laughing but also working very hard. They offer you coffee and snacks and include you in everything.
My manager had work planned out for me so that I never had periods of not doing anything. I received all the information I needed to start my internship and was supported by the intern team throughout.
They invited me to important meetings and training days.I attended a Supplier Engagement Day and a Pretty Muddy training session. I have also become an Event Assistant which shows how their training pays off!

As I've mentioned above, I will become an Event Assistant for Cancer Research UK later this year and am so excited! I would welcome any opportunity to apply for event roles within the organisation and really hope that the opportunity arises for further applications.
The Culture
All the interns were very friendly and met up for drinks. I have become quite close with a couple of interns and often meet them for lunch. I was also really lucky to have such a good team so went out with them at lunch and after work. My team are definitely very social and always include me in everything!
I was based in London so costs are naturally a bit higher but there are cheaper places close by such as Weathersppons. It depends on where you go but there are quite a few places that are good value for money.
As I live in Essex and the last train is before midnight I didn't go out 'at night'. However, I did go to a bar with my team after work and this was great. Chips and martinis!!
You can volunteer to work at the events or even participate. I was invited out by my team to local bars and also out for lunch. I also went to events/training days in Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester!
