About You
It was fun, however some tasks were quite useless.
Everyone was polite and happy to answer any questions, but you got the feeling some of them didn't want to be there.
A lot of support was given to complete the tasks, making everything relatively straightforward.
It was a very short placement, so I didn't learn any new skills, however did get some information about further application processes.
The Company
An agenda was given to me at the start, and it was stuck to most times, however there were a few delays, and gaps in between
The atmosphere was amazing, and it seems like a place I would really like to work at in the future.
They invested quite a bit of time, however not as much as some other companies.
No information was given about the typical working day of any employee in any of the divisions, and on top of that, most of the activities/tasks were relatively generic, without a huge focus on a particular industry/division of the firm.
They mentioned quite a bit about BlackRock's ethics, and efforts in this world, however didn't mention anything about the daily life auf employees.
They provided plenty of information about the firm, it's work ethics and what it does in the world, enabling me to decide the industry I want to work in.
Everything Else
I was told I would be reimbursed for my travels.
There was a 'tea break' for networking opportunities, but this lasted only 15 minutes.
The networking event lasted only 15 minutes, and was in a very small room, in which all the people had difficulty moving around. Plus, the snacks section was organised extremely poorly.
No activities mentioned.
It was an enjoyable experience in which I met new people and managed to do a bit of networking.
