About You
Even though I was only there for an afternoon, I really enjoyed the insight day and I felt that I a took a lot away from it. They had clearly put a lot of effort into organising it.
Hard to say as we were only there for a short while, but all the staff made themselves available to you if you had any questions, and they did seem genuinely interested in helping with your own personal development.
Staff were made available to you at all times if you had any questions.
I didn't learn anything that would assist in my degree, but it certainly helped to give me a better idea of career choices after university.
The Company
It was well structured as there was a set agenda for the day and there wasn't a spare moment where we were left waiting with something to do.
Relaxed, friendly. Met a lot of students from different universities/backgrounds, everyone was chatty. Even met some new people from my own course that I hadn't met yet.
Very insightful, I have a much clearer picture of what it would be like to work for BlackRock or an Asset Management firm.
I was very impressed with the company's culture
I will definitely be applying for their summer internship and graduate schemes.
Everything Else
they reimbursed travel up to £50
Most of the networking was student based as there was around 90 students attending. I did get to speak to 4 or 5 BlackRock employees and they were really helpful
We were only there for a short while but there was an 'afternoon tea' networking event
No but this was hardly relevant giving the duration of the event
Well worth attending
