The Role
I loved every second of it!
Our team was all across the world with people in USA and Germany, we would have call conferences and emails which meant there wasn't much of a 'team work' feeling. Aside from that, everyone was welcoming and I felt accepted and valued from day one.
Line manager and the team were fantastic! Received all the help and advice I could ask for. My line manager was absolutely brilliant, everything from teaching me tricks of trade ( I feel grateful for her advanced excell lessons everyday in my new job) to invaluable advice about my future career ( which got me my full time job!).
It was the case of you get out what you put in. I wanted to get everything I could, which resulted in a putting in a lot of work. Sometimes it felt quite stressful but, what was more important to me it never felt boring.
I given quite a bit of responsibility on a few projects, which was very interesting.
Within weeks of finishing the internship I had interviews with top media companies lined up and got the job I wanted - I doubt I would have gotten this without the superb training from my line manager I received from day one as well as the support from rest of HR department.
The Company
Chiswick Business Park was the best place I have ever worked, Everyday there were activities organized from sports to music to massages.
We had a 'go to' person that was looking after the whole process, which was a very good idea and proved to be very helpful.
Unfortunately I missed out on quite a few interns development activities they offered.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
International Travel
When I was finishing the internship unfortunately were weren't any open positions in the team, I now have job with another media company.
The Culture
The group was lovely, however I think I prioritised my work and not always got to spend much time with the rest of interns.
London is very expensive
It's in London, anything you could possibly want is a couple tube stops away, but it will cost you...
We would have occasional lunches or drinks after work, which was always a lot of fun.
