About You
Really enjoyed myself. The programme was really well structured, and the people both at RBS and in the programme were really great to hang around with and talk to.
RBS really gave us lots of training and even provided a book for us to find out more about the industry. Really felt that they value each and everyone of us.
We had 2 days of training and talks, to give us an overview on what the industry is like and to prep us for the work shadowing.
The presentation and networking skills will definitely come in handy in the future.
The Company
It was structured really well. With two days of training before another two days of job shadowing then ending the week with a CSR event and the assessment centre. Really learned quite a lot.
Very friendly and everyone there was eager to learn.
They invested two whole days on us, and I felt this was really good. Helped us to explore the other divisions within the banks as well, like they had a simulated trading game, as well as a simulated client engagement activity to make us understand the different skill sets needed in each division.
The work shadowing gave us a good view on what the staff there do on a day to day basis.
Really insightful to be on the ground. It was a great way to see how people at RBS generally works and how the atmosphere is like.
Really good at giving us an overview, so kind of make you understand if you want to be in this industry or not.
Everything Else
I was staying in London, so I was not reimbursed at all. But there were many interns from outside of London, and even from Continental Europe like Italy and France. All their expenses were paid for (accommodation and transportation) so RBS was very generous in this aspect. Even for the interview prior to be accepted into this Spring Week, they also paid for the expenses of those who flew in from outside the UK.
Yes, during the job shadowing, there were lots of opportunities to do so.
Great fun!
Yes, during the job shadowing, the graduates also told us what are some of the activities they take part in after work.
Definitely! Really learned a lot from this Spring Week.
